ERROR: Failed to set up BAM database(s).
The alert infrastructure was not created.
Cannot start service NS$BAMAlerts on computer '.'.
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion..
Environment : BizTalk 2006 R2 with SQL Server Server 2005 developer edition in Windows 2003 server.
Solution:
This is due to some security/Access problem with the user account being used for BAM configuration. I am not sure yet what exactly the access it's looking for. But the solution is to use a domain account with admin right to the targetted system. Try configuring with a domain account with admin right, BAM Tools and Portal should configure correctly.
